TSK Electronica y Electricidad S.A. (TSK) has been provided 5 megawatts of solar modules by JinkoSolar Holding Co. (JinkoSolar), an internationally recognized brand in the photovoltaic (PV) sector.

The solar modules will be utilized in the first integrated renewable project located in Kuwait, the Shagaya Renewables Park PV Power Plant.

“We are pleased to join another successful project in a new emerging market with TSK,” Gener Miao, vice president of global sales and marketing at JinkoSolar, said. “The Arab states of the Persian Gulf market is growing very fast. The Kuwaiti government is targeting to have solar energy account for 15 percent of total energy consumption by 2030, which is not an individual case there. We will leverage our industry-leading position and expertise to meet the growing needs of the region.”

The project is forecasted to be complete by September 2016 and will supply more than 9624 megawatts per hour of clean energy each year. Kuwait's Ministry Of Energy and Water owns the 10-megawatt PV renewable project, which consists of 5 megawatts of PV modules and 5 megawatts of thin film.
