GP Strategies has signed a deal to provide support services for Kuwait National Petroleum Company's (KNPC) clean fuels project over the next five years.
"We are excited to be selected as the successful bidder on this contract," Karl Baer, executive vice president of professional and technical services at GP Strategies, said. "We are committed to a successful, five-year engagement with KNPC to support their workforce from commissioning through startup and in support of sustainable ongoing operations."
KNPC's clean fuels project involves upgrading its existing refinery infrastructure in order to enhance the quality of its products while meeting emission reduction standards at the same time. Under the $36 million agreement, GP Strategies will deliver documentation and training for the oil refinery company's workforce to ensure that they will be able to operate the improved facilities. GP Strategies will also help them bring the facilities into working condition and sustain their operations for the future.
KNPC's Mina Al-Ahmad Refinery and the Mina Abdullah Refinery will both be expanded to offer a combined refining capacity of 800,000 barrels per day.
For the past five decades, GP Strategies has helped increase the organizational effectiveness of countless companies around the world through customized training, business improvement services and management consulting.
