Anantara Al Jabal Al Akdhar, a new five-star luxury resort,
recently opened in Oman.
The elegant, modern hotel is situated past an
authentic drive through date plantations and historic forts, on a hill
overlooking the sultanate.
Nicknamed “The Green Mountain,”
the resort takes a modern approach to the region’s mountain citadels,
fitting them out with sophisticated contemporary interiors. For example, rooms come with
private infinity pools set over the cliffs, with views of the region beyond.
Guests
can explore the surrounding area on foot with a mountain guide, or they can visit
the nearby souqs, or marketplaces, to haggle over scarves and perfumes: just a few of the
amenities the new resort offers.
