Composite aero-structures manufacturer Strata will host the third stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour, taking place Oct. 20-23.
Held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and RCS Sport, the professional cycling race consists of total distance of 555 kilometers across four stages.
"Strata is proud to partner with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council on the upcoming Abu Dhabi Tour," Strata Deputy CEO Ismail Ali Abdulla said. This reinforces not only Strata’s commitment to the local Al Ain community, but also Abu Dhabi’s ambition to encourage all citizens to lead a healthier lifestyle. With a number of the world’s leading cyclists coming to our city, this provides an opportunity for all of us to be inspired by the cycling stars of today."
The Strata third stage will occur on Oct. 22 with a route going from Qasr Al Muwaiji to Jebel Hafeet mountain. Cyclists will see numerous sites in Al Ain city and the surrounding desert terrain.
Earlier this month, Strata hosted a community cycling race at Wadi Adventure Park for racers of all ages and abilities. While all participants followed the same general route, elite and open racers had the opportunity to ride up to the summit of Jebel Hafeet, and intermediate and junior racers had the option of going a shorter distance that omitted the mountain.
