The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched the Business Intelligence Information System (BIIS) smart platform to change how business information is shared and used.
The new platform allows for easy, instant access to information about local and foreign business so companies can research prospective partners thoroughly. BIIS provides important data such as financial details and credit ratings. Users can also access reports on economic data by country and product groups, among other criteria.
Hamad Buamim, president and CEO of the Dubai Chamber, called this service a valuable resource that will also enhance transparency within the business community. It will also provide more reliable information about Dubai-based businesses to outside firms and investors.
“As part of its innovation strategy, the chamber is working to create an intelligent business community which is capable of keeping pace with the emirate’s rapid economic development," Buamim said. "This platform is the first of its kind in terms of resources that provide comprehensive access to corporate information. We are confident that it will improve the ease of doing business in the emirate and enhance its reputation as a leading global business hub.”
The launch of the platform aligns with the chamber's innovation strategy, which is focused on supporting creative, innovative solutions in private businesses.
