Naif Arab University for Security Sciences in Saudi Arabia
hosted the second annual forum on "Information Security: Challenges, Insights, and
Trends" Oct. 4-5.
The forum was designed to bring together faculty members, practitioners,
researchers, scientists, vendors and educators to delve into the topic of
information security, the key challenges that face the industry and original solutions.
A lecture titled “Digital Holy Quran Security: An
Information Security Perspective” was delivered by invited guest speaker Professor Muhammad Khan, from the Center of Excellence in Information
Assurance at King Saud University.
Highly regarded international speakers from the U.K., Turkey,
New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia were invited to give lectures on a
multitude of sidebars with regards to information security. Presenters
touched on emerging cybersecurity threats and challenges, biometrics, digital
forensics, big data security and cloud computing security.
The forum was heavily attended and featured participants
like officials, researchers, industrialists, high-ranking businessmen and
dignitaries. The event worked to showcase the critical need to educate and
protect against cybercrime for individuals, educational facilities and
businesses.
