Educators around Saudi Arabia and other countries are
getting a new innovative administration tool for teaching that is helping thousands of teachers to automate aspects of classroom management.
The ITWORX TeacherKit application is something that teachers
can add to their toolbox through a smart phone or mobile device.
One way to think of it as it as a kind of a personal
organizer for a teacher. ITWORX TeacherKit provides features for classroom
organizations like seating charts, attendance logging and the representation
of individual and collective student grades. Other features, such as behavioral
notes, help to document aspects of student performance that are not academic.
A Sept. 21 press release shows how excited company
leaders are to be offering this kind of tool to teachers in today's digital
learning environment.
"We are
thrilled to be a part of transforming the experience of so many educators in
the kingdom, as well as around the world, and serve as their trusted partner on
their quest to realize their institutions' e-learning vision,” Hatem
Sallam, CEO of ITWORX Education, said in a press statement. “As an established forerunner in the field
of educational software solutions, ITWORX Education's scope and mission since
its founding have been powered by innovation and expertise, and our TeacherKit
application is a prime example … Not only does the app free up teachers' time
and turn classroom management into a joy rather than a chore, it also adds
value and impact by helping them analyze and share information like never
before. More importantly, TeacherKit's multi-lingual interface, versatile
features and multi-platform compatibility means that educators have everything
they need to effectively manage their classrooms anywhere and anytime.”
For more information, Gulf News Journal spoke with Sallam on Tuesday about how this revolutionary application is typically used in the
classroom.
“TeacherKit is a simple, easy-to-use and feature-rich app
that makes day-to-day teaching a breeze,” Sallam said. “It lifts the headache of routine
administration, allowing you to focus on what really matters to you -- teaching.”
Sallam
pointed out various records and features that help with classroom monitoring, such
as attendance recording, grade tracking and behavior logging modules.
“It can be used by K-12 teachers, higher ed faculty,
corporate trainers and more,” Sallam
said.
Sallam
said the app is broadly used in Gulf Coast countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait
and the Emirates, but is also used beyond the region in the U.S. and U.K., as
well as Mexico, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil and Australia.
One aspect of the application that is really innovative, Sallam said, is a face recognition
feature that helps educators to get more background information on students
with a quick and easy-to-use interface.
