Abu Dhabi meets Indian trade delegation to better investment relations

Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry board member Sanad Al-Miqbali recently met at the chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi with an Indian trade delegation from Kerala chaired by Sri Pattabhiraman, president of Thrissur Chamber of Commerce.

More than 80 representatives from Abu Dhabi companies were in attendance at the meeting, along with Abu Dhabi Chamber board members Reed Al-Dhaheri, Hamed Al-Shaer, Dalal Al-Qubaisi, Mouzah Al-Otaiba, Yousef Ali and Khan Zaman attended the meeting along with Helal Al-Hameli, deputy director general of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.

“Economic and investment cooperation relations between the two sides witnessed considerable development over the past few years until it became a distinguished attraction for Emirati investments in a number of pivotal sectors including the energy sector, construction, services, programming, property development, shipping, jewelry, banking, tourism, telecommunications, marine operations and ports,” Al-Miqbali said.

Al-Miqbali offered a warm greeting to the Indian delegation from Thrissur Chamber, highlighting that the visit was a great opportunity for the businessmen of Abu Dhabi to work with Indian businessmen from the Kerala state to build partnerships between the companies and strengthen the methods of increasing trade and bettering both economies.  

It was noted that India is at the top of the list when it comes to exporting countries to the UAE and Abu Dhabi.

“The volume of Emirati investments in India grew tremendously over the past five years; besides, the number of Emirati companies doubled their presence in the Indian markets, especially in such sectors,” Al-Miqbali said.
