The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently
announced plans to host the Global Business Forum on Latin America Nov. 9 and 10 under the theme “Shifting Energies.”
The event will take place under the patronage of Mohammed Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE
and ruler of Dubai. The forum will include sessions detailing possible ways to
grow trade and investment ties between the Middle East and Latin America.
“We are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to
strengthen trade ties with countries around the world,” Hamad
Buamim, president and CEO of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said.
In addition, Buamim noted that Latin America provides promising emerging
markets. For this reason, he believes the event will deliver the perfect
platform to elevate bilateral relations between the two regions.
“The forum offers an opportunity
to exchange ideas and find sustainable solutions for the challenges facing
these countries when it comes to opening up their economies to the world,
underlining the role that Dubai can play in widening the scope of economic
partnership between Latin America and the world,” Buamim said.
