Global developer Emaar Properties PJSC has named Veresh Sita its chief digital officer (CDO).
Sita has vast experience in developing customer-oriented
solutions as an international technology professional and will help propel Emaar’s
growth.
In his previous position as CIO of Alaska Airlines, Sita
managed a team of 300 IT professionals responsible for investing in the airline’s
infrastructure, innovative programs, and technical advancement. In addition, he
played a key role in transforming the information and technology services
department while serving as the CIO and CDO for Seattle-based Colliers
International.
Sita is now tasked with building a new digital strategy that
will skyrocket Emaar’s growth. He is
also responsible for restructuring and prioritizing Emaar’s technology
blueprint to provide quality customer service and built the company’s awareness
and reaction time to the every-changing world of technology.

the pioneer in developing integrated master-planned communities,” Sita said. “It

Sita’s work as CDO will ensure Emaar’s customers in every
region receive exceptional client service. He will work towards the highest quality
IT services that the company requires each day. He will also bring ideas to the
table to advance the company’s strategic plan for the future.

In his previous work history, Sita filled the role of director of Global Business Systems Solutions at Starbucks Coffee Company, heading
the company’s biggest change in business processes and systems. Puget Sound
Business Journal named him "Best CIO of a Large Company" in 2013.
Sita is a native of South Africa and earned his bachelor’s
degree in commerce/business information systems from the University of
Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. The internationally recognized
digital expert also takes time to mentor youth and business executives.
