The Dubai Chamber of
Commerce and Industry recently wrapped up the Global Business Forum on Latin
America.
The event, which was themed “Shifting Energies,” brought together
experts from the government and business industries to discuss joint
cooperation between Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Latin America.
Hamad Buamim, president and
CEO for Dubai Chamber, spoke at the event and called for a stronger economic
partnership between the two regions.
“Producing accurate and
accessible information requires conducting studies and in-depth research that
explore economic realities and opportunities in our region and in Latin
America,” he said. “The Dubai Chamber has been working tirelessly to produce
such studies that dissect the strategic economic sectors and explore the
opportunities they provide and the challenges they present.”
Buamim also noted that the forum
is part of the chamber’s strategy to open dialogue with Latin America and
assign trade missions.
“The forum presents an
opportunity for dialogue and for assigning trade missions to Latin American
markets,” he said. “The chamber has plans to open representative offices in
the region in the near future.”
