“The Educational & Training Initiative
of the Year” award, presented during the third Middle East Insurance Industry
Awards (MIIA) 2016, was granted to the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).
The ceremony was held in Dubai in early November.
The Middle East Insurance Review, recognized
as the top Middle East insurance publication highlighting quality work,
organizes the award ceremony. Nominees are chosen through a review process
conducted by top representatives from within the insurance sector, with EY
serving as the auditor.
“We are delighted to be recognized by this
prestigious award as it reflects the efforts put in providing quality training
and development for the insurance industry,” BIBF Director Solveig
Nicklos said. “The Centre for Insurance at the BIBF has supplied the regional
insurance industry with skilled, qualified human capital since its inception in
1981. Its training solutions have served the insurance market in over 14
countries and the reach of its insurance qualifications is evident in many of
the accomplishments achieved over the past two decades.”
The MIIA is recognized as a prestigious
award program as it offers clearly defined standards and a crystal-clear
process overseen by a board of 20 renowned judges. Now in its third year, MIIA
judges are pulled from the domestic, regional and global insurance markets.
“The winners must stand tall to raise the bar and make an impact on the industry and continue to fulfill its expected growth,” said Nicklos.
