During a recent promotion by Abdul Latif Jameel Electronics
and Air Conditioning Co. Ltd., customers were invited to trade in any brand of
air conditioner for the most innovative, energy-efficient split air
conditioning model.
The Air Conditioner Exchange Offer program was wildly
popular and those who participated received a $267 cash incentive for their
older air conditioning unit.
Customers also received other services free of charge like
delivery, installation, removal and discarding of old AC units, a copper pipe
kit, and a five year compressor warranty. Customers can expect to reduce their
electricity bills by nearly 70 percent with the use of inverter AC units, according
to P. Venkat, managing director of Abdul Latif Jameel Electronics.
The program
is designed to support Saudi Arabia’s goal of developing a more overall energy
efficient region.
