Dr. Al-Taher Al-Kindi, second deputy director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently hosted Nurzhan
Altayev, deputy chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, at the Chamber’s Tower in Dubai.
The two leaders talked about expanding trade and business
relations between the two regions.
Al-Kindi spoke about the chamber’s
encouragement of businesspeople and investors investing in the food sector
because the sector is of strategic importance to the country. It helps the
emirate meet the demands of its people when it comes to agricultural products
and food stuff.
The deputy director noted that the food sector is a great
opportunity for Abu Dhabi companies and Kazakhstan companies to work together.
He urged businesses from Kazakhstan to increase investment partnerships with
Emirati companies.
Altayev, for his part, asked Emirati companies to invest in
his country, urging them to focus on such categories as livestock and food.
Madiyar Menibekov, minister-counsellor of the Embassy of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, and Helal Al-Hameli, deputy director deneral
of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, attended the meeting.
