In a recent meeting between Bahrain Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al Khalifa and the chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Rep. Jason Chaffetz,
the two dignitaries discussed the progressive relationship between the two
nations.
The meeting was hosted during Chaffetz’s trip to the kingdom on Nov. 25. The minister welcomed the congressman warmly and showed his
appreciation for the outstanding relations shared between Bahrain and the
U.S.
The minister attributed the positive relationship to a consistently open
line of communication and dedicated cooperation from both sides to work
together for the betterment of both nations.
He also voiced praise for both
sides working toward solutions of common interests that benefit both countries.
Chaffetz conveyed his pleasure in visiting Bahrain,
thanking the minister for his time and expressing America’s commitment to
growing areas of collaboration with the kingdom.
Before leaving, the
congressman noted the kingdom’s role in keeping peace within the region and wished
the people of Bahrain much success.
