The WISE Awards, held each year since 2009, aim to bring
attention to and help address global education challenges.
Since the launch,
the program has recognized 48 international projects that are innovative and
promote change for good. Some topics covered by previous winning projects
include education in emergency situations, life-long learning opportunities and a chance at quality education.
The recipients of the WISE Awards collaborate with other effective
and revolutionary organizations in order to get exposure and opportunities to
promote their cause or project on a variety of platforms.
Events like the summit,
WISE communications and publications help promote the winning projects. In
addition, winners are given $20,000.
WISE aims to contribute to the developing network of
innovative thinkers and doers who are interested in sharing and bettering the education
industry.
The WISE
website is the best way to nominate or apply for the 2017 WISE Awards.
