The world's fastest-growing airline company is expanding yet again, as Qatar Airways adds eight more cities to its expanding list of destinations.

The latest additions are supplemental to the seven which were announced earlier in the year, bringing this year’s new cities to a total of 15.

The more than 150 destinations are spread across six continents with the latest additions, including Canberra, the fifth destination in Australia; Dublin, Ireland; Las Vegas, the 11th destination in the United States; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Medan, Kualanamu International Airport, the third destination in Indonesia; Tabuk and Yanbu, the ninth and 10th destinations in Saudi Arabia.

The list of new cities already announced for 2017 includes Douala, Cameroon; Chiang Mai, the fourth destination in Thailand; Libreville, Gabon; Nice, France; Sarajevo, Bosnia; Skopje, Macedonia; and the longest commercial flight in the world begins Feb. 5, 2017, on its route to Auckland, New Zealand.

"Qatar Airways offers the world the best route network, the best onboard experience and the best connections in Hamad International Airport," Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said. "We operate the youngest fleet on the planet with an average age of five years and also flew in the most modern and technological aircraft that allow passengers a winning experience while ensuring more efficient and environmentally friendly operations. Our intention is to ensure that our passengers can choose Qatar Airways for all your travel needs -- whether for leisure travel, business or both."
