Mundipharma, an international pharmaceutical leader in pain
management, recently hosted the third Cancer Care Summit in Morocco on Oct.
21-22.
The event focused on showcasing major developments in cancer patient
care and highlighting the importance of innovation in cancer care medicine.
More than 180 global health care professionals attended the
event. Experts in oncology and palliative care from 12 Middle East and Africa
(MENA) countries came together to share their expertise and the latest
evidence-based research on common cancer-related issues.
“We are committed to innovating
the way cancer care is perceived and have managed and to help health care
providers design, deliver and maintain cancer care services while improving
patient experience,” Dr. Ashraf Allam, regional
vice president at Mundipharma for the Middle East and Africa, said. “We
have synergized our efforts through combining different disease areas together
and emphasized our commitment to supporting cancer care and improving the patient's
overall quality of life.”
The summit was accredited by the American Association of
Continuing Medical Education (AACME) and included discussions on cancer pain, chemotherapy-induced
nausea and vomiting, and peripheral T-cell lymphoma.
