The
history of the relationship between Bahrain and the U.K. was one of the main topics discussed during the Bahraini-British Joint
Working Group, hosted in London Nov. 29.
The
event was co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid Al Khalifa on the Bahraini side. For the British side, the undersecretary of state for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Tobias Ellwood, was the representative.

more than two centuries. They also discussed ways of improving the ties in certain
industries and how to strengthen business ties to better both economies. Lastly, the groups spoke on the development of the people of each country and how
working together is beneficial to natives of both regions.
Before the meeting concluded,
representatives from both countries touched on regional and international
events, and the passion from both countries to work toward peace, confronting any
