Mohammed Al-Rumaithi, chairman at the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and
Industry and at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, recently
received Bahodour Sharifi, ambassador of Tajikistan to the UAE, at the Chamber’s
Tower in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting focused on economic and investment cooperation
between the two countries.
Al-Rumaithi spoke about the
leadership both countries exhibit and how this leadership will provide an excellent
framework for joint business success. He noted that current trade numbers
between the UAE and Tajikistan are humble and do not reflect the potential that
exists.
Sharifi, for his part, focused on
the importance of increasing investments in Tajikistan. He believes both
countries can benefit from the partnership: Tajikistan provides many positive opportunities for Abu Dhabi businesses, especially in infrastructure and
development projects.
In attendance at the meeting were Mohammed Al-Muhairi, director general at the Abu Dhabi Chamber, and Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, deputy director general.
