The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for the kingdom of Bahrain recently addressed the grave danger and inhumane treatment of the
people in Syria, specifically those living in Aleppo.
The ministry noted the humanitarian
tragedies of the Syrian people and called out the responsibility of the rest of
the world to work toward peace and put an end to the senseless violence.
The ministry is clear on the stance that Bahrain has taken, calling
for international leaders to move toward protecting the civilians of Syria. Influential countries were particularly called on by the ministry to
ensure there is a way for medical and economic support to be safely delivered
into the region.
In addition, the ministry wishes to move toward keeping the unity of the Syrian region, as
well as accomplishing a peaceful solution in accordance with the Geneva 1
Conference. The ultimate goal is for the Syrian people to be able to live in
peace and know that international allies will support them in maintaining that
peaceful environment.
