The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington recently
announced that the kingdom had welcomed proposals put forth by U.S. Secretary
of State John Kerry on a final settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry complimented the proposals,
saying they represent an appropriate method for ending the conflict
and bringing about peace in the region. The ministry said the proposals are in accord with the Arab Peace
Initiative adopted at the Arab Summit in Beirut in 2002 and by the Islamic
Summit in Makkah, as well as most major resolutions of international legality.
