Qatari, Turkish officials look to alleviate Syrian crisis

Qatar's minister of foreign affairs and Turkey's foreign minister recently discussed how their nations might be able to help the ongoing crisis in Syria by promoting a ceasefire and continuing preparations for a possible meeting in Kazakhstan's capital of Astana.

The Qatari minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, spoke via telephone to Turkey's Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Besides the Syrian crisis, they also discussed developments taking place in the Middle East, bilateral relations between their countries and areas of mutual interest or concern.
