Qatar Airways recently opened its
lounge at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, and its chief executive used the occasion to confirm the airline's first flights this summer connecting to Nice.
Qatar
Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker cut the ribbon to unveil the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge
in the presence of Abdullah Al-Subaey, chairman of the Qatar Civil
Aviation Authority, and Franck Goldnadel, director of Aéroports de Paris.
At a luncheon after the ceremony, Al Baker talked about the five-times-weekly flight service that will connect Nice to
Hamad International Airport in Doha.
“I am
delighted to be here today to officially open the Qatar Airways Premium Lounge
at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the third such lounge of its type within
our growing network,” Al Baker said. "This further demonstrates our commitment to France and to showcasing the very
best of our product offering, whether in the lounge itself, the modern aircraft
that we fly on our triple daily service to Paris, or our further expansion with
the announcement that Qatar Airways will operate direct flights to Nice from 4
July this year.”
