The Skytrax “5-Star
Airport” rating is given to airports that the United Kingdom-based
service deems provide the highest overall quality performance. It is
based on factors like customer service, airport facilities, shopping
outlets, immigration and security.
The Hamad airport has
earned several awards since its 2014 opening, including the “Best
Airport Award” at the 2015 Future Travel Experience Asia Awards and
being named the Middle East's best airport by Skytrax in both 2015
and 2016.
