Oman Air was recently named the "World's Leading Airline-Economy Class" at the 2016 World Travel Awards, marking the third consecutive year the airline has taken the title.
The national airline of Oman, which beat out 17 competitors for the title, also won awards for "Middle East’s Leading Airline, Business Class" and "Middle East’s Leading Airline, Economy Class" earlier in 2016.
“This is an incredible result for Oman Air to finish 2016 with three
World Travel Awards," Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch
said. "These awards set the standards for the travel
industry, and we have consistently been voted the best."
The World Travel Awards recognize and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry and throughout Asia and Australasia, Africa and the Indian Ocean, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and the Caribbean.
"Oman Air is a successful, sustainable company of the highest quality, and it is immensely gratifying to be rewarded for our unique product and on board experience, in all classes," Gregorowitsch said.
