Qatar recently
opened the Al Wakrah celebration halls complex, following in the footsteps of similar
structures in Al Daayen and Al Rifaa.
Mohammed bin
Abdullah Al-Rumaihi, the minister of Municipality and Environment,
did the unveiling and commended the Private Engineering Office for
its work in building the complex. He said halls such as these make
marriages less expensive for young couples.
Abdullah Al
Dossari, head of projects at the engineering office, said the complex
offers five main halls that can hold 500 people each or open into
space for 2,500. He said use of the halls is free, although a small
sum is collected for insurance and then refunded if all goes well.
