Qatar’s minister of Economy and Commerce recently met with his
Saudi and Dutch counterparts to discuss economic, commercial and
investment issues and how the nations could build on their current
relationships.

Al-Thani sat with Majid Al Qasabi, the Saudi minister of Commerce and
Investment, and Lilianne Ploumen, the Dutch minister of Foreign Trade
and Development Cooperation, during the second day of the World
Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Also in attendance were chairmen and CEOs of
major firms and international corporations working in investment and
banking.
The trade volume between Qatar and Saudi Arabia
reached $2.2 billion in 2015, making Saudi Arabia Qatar’s 13th
biggest trading partner. Trade between the Netherlands and Qatar
reached $988.6 million in 2015, making the Netherlands the 21st
biggest trading partner for Qatar.
