Oman Air recently simplified its baggage policy, moving away from a weight-based pricing schedule to one based on the number of bags being brought on board. The airline says the move will make things easier and less expensive for customers.
Fliers will receive a free baggage
allowance to all destinations. Economy-class guests may bring one piece of baggage weighing up to 66 pounds, while business- and first-class travelers will be allowed one bag weighing up to 66 pounds and another weighing no more than 44 pounds.
Guests can
purchase space for an additional piece of luggage on flights within the gulf
region, Middle East, Africa and Indian sub-continent. Passengers on long-haul
services to Europe and the Far East will be able to purchase up to four extra
pieces of luggage. All purchases can be made at the same flat rate.
