The Dubai
Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently launched its
Sustainability Network at the Dubai Sustainable Supply Chain Forum. The event, "Shaping the Future of End-to-end Sustainable Supply Chain
through Collaboration," was put on by the network's working group.
Key
stakeholders came to the forum to discuss the best practices in
sustainable supply chain solutions. A panel discussion included Paul
Kinsella and Gavin Keen of CHEP Middle East, Naresh Manshani of
Choithrams, and George Paraskevadis of Johnson & Johnson MENA sharing their insights on what supply chains should look like in Dubai and the
United Arab Emirates.
“This forum provided an opportunity for companies to learn
about the role of sustainability in making supply chains more efficient from a
cost and operational standpoint,” Belaid Rettab, senior director of Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector for Dubai Chamber, said. “By
launching this forum, we are starting a dialogue on this important issue and
providing an ideal platform for business leaders and decision-makers to
collaborate, share insights and experiences, and work towards improving their
practices.”
