Carnegie
Mellon University Qatar (CMU-Q) recently joined many of its fellow Qatar institutions
to take part in Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Education City Career
Fair 2017. The two-day event unites students and alumni from the schools with
more than 90 national and international organizations.
“HBKU and its partner universities across
Education City excel at developing hard-working graduates passionate about
finding creative and innovative solutions to unique challenges in their
respective fields,” Maryam Hamad Al Mannai, vice president of student affairs
at HBKU, said. “Local, regional, and international employers return to the
Education City Career Fair each year because they are pleased by the quality of
our graduates and impressed by their energy and drive to succeed.”
Qatar Shell sponsored the event in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Weill
Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Texas A&M University at Qatar, Georgetown
University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Northwestern University in
Qatar, HEC Paris in Qatar, and UCL Qatar.
“We are proud to be the lead sponsor of the Education City Career Fair
and hope that the students truly benefit from the opportunity,” said Paulo
Macedo, general manager of Corporate Affairs and deputy country chairman of
Qatar Shell.
