Sabre Corp., which
has provided technology solutions to Gulf Air for two decades,
recently signed an agreement with the airline to not only continue
its services but also to expand them.
"It is clearly
evident that Gulf Air is enjoying much greater success and has a
clear path for continued growth over the coming years," Dino
Gelmetti, vice president of Airline Solutions at Sabre, said. "Sabre
is proud to have played an integral role in its turn-around strategy
by providing robust, reliable and flexible technology that forms an
essential foundation for streamlining its operations, reducing costs
and increasing revenue."
Gulf Air, the national
carrier of Bahrain, has asked Sabre to increase its technological
oversight in reservations, departure controls and any aspect that
affects fliers directly, such as re-accommodation, mobile
concierge services and ancillary inventory software.
"We
continue to invest in and focus on enhancing the passenger
experience, and are doing so via a multifaceted approach that
includes cutting-edge technology solutions to make the entire travel
experience more convenient and comfortable for Gulf Air passengers,"
Ahmed Janahi, chief commercial officer of Gulf Air, said.
