Growing a model of
cooperative innovation and knowledge exchange between small and
medium enterprises in the United Arab Emirates and Turkey was a
primary focus of a recent meeting between delegations from the two
countries.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE's minister of
the economy, led the economic delegation that took part in Joint
Economic Committee (JEC) meetings between the two countries in Ankara.
Al Mansoori and Mehmet Şimşek, deputy prime minister of Turkey,
presided.
The meetings also
focused on bilateral trade and investment opportunities for both
countries, including in tourism, hospitality, food, transportation,
renewable energy, health and financial services.
Prior to the
JEC, a technical and preparatory meeting was led by Mohammed Ahmed
bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehhi, the UAE Ministry of Economy's
undersecretary for Economic Affairs, and Husnu Dilemre, the acting
deputy undersecretary of Turkey's Ministry of Economy.
