The growth of the mall
and shopping center industry in Qatar has got the attention of the
country's chamber of commerce, which recently created a Contracting
& Studies Committee to review and assist in their development.
Qatar
Chamber Chairman Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani said the panel will focus
on all matters and topics related to the malls sector, as it plays a
significant
role in overall economic and retail growth. Additionally, Qatar has
become an attractive market for companies
looking to put up new brick-and-mortar stores in the Middle East, he said.
Al Thani also said the committee will do studies on all obstacles
facing mall and commercial complex sector growth to allow stakeholders to
create proper solutions.
