Sometimes even being excellent might not be enough, particularly when so many others are being extraordinary as well.
Such is the case this year as a panel of business and economic experts must decide which GCC and United Arab Emirates businesses deserve the 9th cycle of the annual Mohammed Bin Rashid Al
Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the 1st cycle of the MRM Business Innovation
Award.
The awards, which will be presented at an upcoming celebration sponsored by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, cover seven sectors: trade, transport, finance, logistics manufacturing, services, construction and re-export.
Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE minister of Economy, said it has become obvious how significant these awards are, as the number of applicants that scored over the excellence threshold climbed 40 percent this year.
Al Mansouri is serving as the chairman of the MRM Business Award panel, which also includes local and international economic experts.
