Qatar's ambassador to
Austria has presented his credentials to the International Atomic Energy
Agency's (IAEA) director as Qatar's permanent representative to the IAEA
in Vienna, the nation's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced recently.
The
director, Yukiya Amano, received the
credentials of Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani before they discussed the
importance of cooperation between the IAEA and Qatar. Amano said Qatar
will benefit from the agency's offerings through
its technical cooperation program.
Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar's support for the IAEA, saying Qatar will continue
its involvement through its membership on the board of governors.
