Dubai World
Trade Centre will be hosting the 13th Dubai International
Horse Fair and 14th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship on March 16-18 under the patronage of
Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The event will
bring together participants from Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, France,
Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Qatar, Russia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey and
the United Kingdom, the center said in a news release. More than 10,000 people are expected at the event, including horse buyers, professional riders, professional breeders and
horse enthusiasts. Additionally, more than 200 brands and companies are expected to
attend.
"The
UAE is home to some of the finest horses in the world, namely our Arabian
breed, which is the oldest purebred known to man,” Ziad Abdullah Galadari, chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of Dubai International Arabian Horse
Championship, sain in the release. “At the upcoming Dubai International Arabian
Horse Championship, the equestrian community and members of the public will get
a unique opportunity to view these legendary creatures who are admired
worldwide for their beauty and athleticism. Those who are dedicated to
advancing the fields of equestrian breeding, training, technologies, health and
performance are looking forward to networking and gaining knowledge about the
latest industry advancements at the 13th Dubai International Horse Fair."
Admission is free and open to the general public. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
