The Bahrain
Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) recently launched a
monthly series of free public informational workshops, dubbed “Tech Talks,” which
will focus on IT infrastructure and technology trends.
“We are delighted to introduce Tech Talks to the market
through which we aim to present to the public a reference hub of IT topics, to
benefit the various sectors and the general public overall,” Ahmed Naeemi, the BIBF’s head of operations, IT and project management, said. “The importance of awareness in this day and age cannot be
underestimated. The more knowledgeable you are in the field of IT and its
latest trends, the more secure you become in your everyday transactions.”
The goal of
this program is to increase awareness on IT issues. The first talk in the series
involved NGN International and focused on the latest IT trends, including discussions on big data and the internet of things.
“It is a great honor for us to partner with the BIBF and
participate in their educational initiatives,” Yaqoob AlAwadhi, regional manager
at NGN International, said. “Our experience in systems integration in Turkey and
the Middle East helps us realize the real needs of companies from various
industries and even countries. We accumulate best practices to address their
business and technological challenges and develop truly hands-on training
courses.”
