The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) recently set a March 28 application deadline for the second edition of the Dubai Smartpreneur Competition.
The competition, which was launched by the DCCI in cooperation with the Smart Dubai Office, is geared toward young entrepreneurs interested in transforming Dubai into a smart city. Business ideas are sought in the categories of living, the economy, environment, infrastructure, governance and mobility.
"Young entrepreneurs stand to make a major contribution to Dubai’s smart city vision by developing creative and innovative solutions that address existing challenges and improve the lives of citizens and residents," Essa Al Zaabi, senior vice president of institutional support sector for the Dubai Chamber, said.
Three winners will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to advance their business ideas through participation in the Dubai Chamber's Tejar Dubai entrepreneurship development program. The program offers access to training, mentoring, investment capital and the chance to network with business leaders.
