Saudi Aramco recently announced the release of the Reservoir Engineering Integrated Environment (REOnline), a new tool aimed at helping engineers plan and manage the company’s reservoirs.
The platform delivers smart analytics and advanced tracking capabilities, allowing Saudi Aramco to maximize opportunities and minimize costs, the company said in a release. The company will now have better efficiency at its wells, reservoirs and fields.
“Saudi Aramco has always been at the forefront of development and deployment of state-of-the-art technologies,” Sami A. Al-Neaim, manager of the company’s Petroleum Engineering Application Services Department (PEASD), said in the release.
“We consider REOnline to be a potential paradigm shift in the way our customers will do their business,” Al-Neaim said. “We truly hope they embrace this new platform and become a part of its continuous evolution and improvement.”
Saudi Aramco said in the release it plans to expand the use of REOnline in the future through the addition of analytical solutions for water breakthrough detection, injection efficiency, decline curve analysis and stimulation candidate identification.
