Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced the launch of the Dubai Innovation Index Portal, an interactive online portal showcasing the rankings and findings of the 3rd Dubai Innovation Index.

The interactive platform was unveiled as part of the Chamber’s activities and efforts organised for UAE Innovation Month. The portal provides access to valuable insights and analysis on a city and industry level, in addition to a wealth of data which has been collected over the last few years.

The portal encompasses a wide variety of value-added features as it allows users to easily navigate through the framework, learn about leading practices of innovation from other global cities, and compare their level of innovation with other businesses and government entities in Dubai.

In addition, Dubai Innovation Index Portal allows entrepreneurs and businesses to participate in an innovation survey, which allows them to benchmark their performance against the Dubai Innovation Index (by sector or industry), enabling them to identify their strengths and challenge areas.

His Excellency Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber described the portal as a ground-breaking and bold initiative which complements Dubai Chamber’s efforts to foster a culture of innovation within Dubai’s business community by introducing users to innovative strategies, technologies and practices adopted by major cities around the world.

“This first-of-its-kind initiative falls in line with the long-term vision of Dubai’s leadership to transform the emirate as a global innovation hub and knowledge-based economy. By benchmarking and showcasing Dubai’s innovation performance through the portal, we can get a clear picture about the progress which has been made, while it also helps us identify key areas where improvement is still needed,” said H.E. Buamim.

Dubai Chamber’s President and CEO noted that Dubai has made considerable headway on achieving its innovation vision, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He added that the Portal positions Dubai as a global role model as a city that embraces innovation across all segments of its society.

The easy-to-use portal is designed for a wide range of users, including Dubai Chamber members, companies, and individuals with an interest in business innovation. The platform also caters to entrepreneurs, industry experts, university students, researchers and decision makers from public and private-sector entities, while it can be accessed through a variety of electronic devices.
