Council of Saudi Chambers issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.
The Saudi-Turkish Business Council at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) held a meeting on Sunday, led by its co-Chairs, Mazen Rajab on the Saudi side, and Fateh Qarsawi on the Turkish side, in which the two sides discussed fostering economic relations between the two countries.
Mr. Rajab noted the steady growth in Saudi-Turkish relations over the years, adding that the business communities in the two countries have promising opportunities thanks to the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 programs and initiatives, especially in the education and healthcare sector, in which Turkey possesses expertise. He pointed to the successful experience of Turkish corporates in the Kingdom in the infrastructure sector, as well as the successful experience of Saudi corporates in the contracting, banking and financial investment sectors in Turkey, which reflects mutual interest in this regard.
For his part, Mr. Qarsawi praised the rapid growth in Saudi-Turkish relations, noting that Saudi Arabia is a key economic partner to Turkey and ranks among its eight largest trade partners worldwide. He commended the developments in the Kingdom post-Saudi Vision 2030, and conveyed Turkey’s interest in fostering its investments in the Saudi market. On this note, he encouraged businesspeople on both sides to cooperate in facilitating relevant barriers to elevate these relations into a robust partnership.
The two sides agreed on the importance of maintaining such meetings to explore trade and investment opportunities in the two countries, and listen to their respective concerns on facilitating trade and investment flow.
