Qatar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital issued the following announcement on March 12.

The visit paves the way for potential Qatari-Swedish collaboration in sports science

Aspetar, the orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, welcomed HE Ambassador of Sweden to Qatar, Mrs. Ewa Polano, on Tuesday.

Received by Mr. Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi, Chief Administrative Officer of Aspetar, HE the Ambassador attended a briefing about the services the hospital provides for athletes and a tour of some Aspetar’s facilities such as athletes rehabilitation and improvement departments

HE the Ambassador said she was very impressed with Aspetar’s services and facilities during the visit and proud to see so many Swedes among the hospital staff. She added:

During my visit, we discussed potential collaboration. The research and physiotherapy services they have here make Qatar and Aspetar a global leader. Sweden is also a global leader so this could be a perfect partnership.
