Council of Saudi Chambers issued the following announcement on March 13.

The National Committee for Real Estate at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) and the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in real estate activities.

The signing took place at the CSC premises in Riyadh, with attendance of CSC Chairperson Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi and Secretary General Dr. Saud Al Meshari. The MoU was signed by Chairperson of the National Committee for Real Estate Hamad Al Shuwaier, and President of FIABCI Waleed Moussa.

Al Shuwaier noted the significance of the MoU to the committee - as the umbrella for real estate investors in the Kingdom – given that FIABCI is an economic entity that seeks to enhance the real estate sector by creating regional and international enterprises, adding that he looks forward to the positive results of the MoU on Saudi investors and the real estate sector as a whole.

For his part, the FIABCI President noted that the MoU coincides with the Saudi vision 2030, whose programs include various promising opportunities for international partnerships, adding that FIABCI and the Real Estate Committee will focus on exchanging knowledge and expertise, and creating regional and international partnerships in the real estate sector, especially in light of the supportive legislative environment in the Kingdom in this regard.

The MoU aims at fostering cooperation between the two sides and expanding the scope of bilateral relations through joint efforts to serve professionals in relevant sectors in MENA and worldwide. Per the MoU, the two parties will exchange information on the real estate sector as well as economic and financial data on developments in the sector, exchange invitations on activities organized by either side, and explore means to cooperate so as to serve professionals in the field.

It is worth noting that the National Committee for Real Estate at CSC seeks to support and elevate the sector in the Kingdom in the services it provides. While FIABCI Arabic Countries, a chapter of the International Real Estate Federation FIABCI, is an association based in Dubai-UAE that provides access and opportunity for real estate professionals interested in gaining knowledge, sharing information and conducting regional and international business with each other.
