HE Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Council praised the role played by UAEU in the development of education in the country and the graduation of qualified national cadres in accordance with the highest international standards and standards for the benefit of the homeland and the citizen. Through a leading role for parliamentary diplomacy, enhancing communication and active community participation, and developing the internal capacities of the Council's organs to achieve effective parliamentary performance.

Local achievements

On the level of strategic achievements at the internal level, the Council has played a significant supervisory role by discussing general issues, asking questions and adopting recommendations to improve the performance of many sectors of society, especially educational, economic, housing, health and social. She explained that in the education sector, the Council, during its discussions on the subject of education needs, recommended to the government on the need to establish a national university, and the government took this recommendation, which resulted in the establishment of the United Arab Emirates University, which is the first university in the state.

The Council recommended the establishment of a fund to support scientific research in the State, in which private institutions and companies operating in the State will contribute to the State budget. The Council also recommended the establishment of a federal agency for academic accreditation, Education, which deals with the licensing, classification and accreditation of private schools based on the revision of their educational systems and curricula.

On the achievements in the economic sector reported that the Council made a recommendation to issue a law of the Central Bank, the government approved this recommendation was issued a federal law to establish the Central Bank, and the Council recommended the establishment of a stock exchange for commodities and trading shares of companies operating in the state, This recommendation is to issue a federal law on the establishment of the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority and Market.
