COUNCIL OF SAUDI CHAMBERS: CSC Secretary General and Norway Ambassador Discuss Economic Relations

Council of Saudi Chambers issued the following announcement on March 26.

Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Dr. Saud Al Meshari received in his office the Norway Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Øyvind Stokke, where the two discussed ways to foster trade and investment relations between the two countries.

Dr. Al Meshari noted the distinguished Saudi-Norwegian relations, and the need to foster them on the economic and investment levels considering the opportunities for foreign investments in the Kingdom post-Saudi Vision 2030. He expressed CSC’s readiness to assist the Norwegian side in any capacity in this regard.

For his part, Mr. Stokke conveyed Norway’s interest in fostering economic relations with Saudi Arabia, and exploring the Saudi market as the largest in the region. He touched on cooperation opportunities between the two countries, particularly in oil, gas, healthcare, education, tourism, fisheries, foodstuffs, renewable energy, solar energy, and water, urging at the same time to maintain bilateral meetings between the two business communities via business delegations to explore their respective markets.

The meeting discussed organizing Norwegian business delegations to explore certain sectors in Saudi Arabia firsthand. In addition to fostering coordination between the private sector institutional bodies in the two countries.
