Council of Saudi Chambers issued the following announcement on April 2.
Chairperson of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Eng. Ahmed Al Rajhi received in his office the Ambassador of Russia to Saudi Arabia, Sergei Kozlov, where the two discussed ways to foster trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Eng. Al Rajhi noted during the meeting the robust Saudi-Russian relations, which continue to grow noticeably, touching on the positive results following King Salman’s visit to Russia last year, including the formation of a USD 10 billion fund to support joint ventures, particularly SMEs. Al Rajhi stressed the significant role of the business communities in the two countries in fostering bilateral relations, namely, the Saudi-Russian Business Council, which is key to exploring opportunities in the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Kozlov commended the growing Saudi-Russian relations, describing the Saudi King’s visit to Russia as a great impetus to fostering these relations. He added that he expects the upcoming years to see more trade cooperation between the two countries considering their vast opportunities and the role of the Saudi-Russian Business Council in this regard.
The Russian Ambassador extended an invitation to the Saudi business community to participate in the Fourth International Exhibition "Arabia-EXPO", scheduled for April 23-27, 2018 in Moscow. The Exhibition aims at fostering trade and economic cooperation between Russia and the Arabian region and exploring investment and partnership opportunities between them.
