American University of Sharjah issued the following announcement on May 6.
A paper by a faculty member from the School of Administration (SBA) has been included by the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA) in a group comprising the 10 most cited papers published in 2017 in the field of family business research.
Authored by Dr. Rodrigo Basco, Associate Professor of Management and the Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid bin Khalid Al-Qassimi Chair in Family Business, the selected paper is entitled “Where Do You Want To Take Your Family Firm? A Theoretical And Empirical Exploratory Study Of Family Business Goals” and was published in Business Research Quarterly.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Basco said:
“This is recognition of the Sheikh Saoud bin Khalid bin Khalid Al-Qassimi Chair in Family Business at American University of Sharjah for having a ‘research-based /practice-oriented’ strategic philosophy. Our research aim is to produce groundbreaking knowledge applicable for governing and managing family businesses across the world. Specifically, our goal is to foster sustainable support to family business in order to create a successful local family entrepreneurship ecosystem.”
