The National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries at the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) elected Dr. Faisal Al Dayel as its Chairperson for the new session, with Dr. Yasser Al Obaida and Dr. Faisal Al Talasi as Vice Chairpersons.

The ceremony, which took place at the CSC premises in Riyadh, touched on a number of issues related to local pharmaceutical manufacturing in the Kingdom. The newly elected members thanked the committee for the trust bestowed upon them, promising to dedicate their time and efforts to build on the previous achievements of the committee.

Chairperson Al Dayel noted the significant role of the National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries to serving the sector and investors, adding that the committee seeks to work closely with relevant entities in the Kingdom to convey the sector’s views and concerns, and address challenges that hinder its growth. He pointed to the promising opportunities for the sector in light of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives, and commended the support the sector has been receiving from CSC and government agencies, namely, the Ministry of Health and SFDA - allowing it to perform effectively.

It is worth noting that the National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries is one of CSC’s committees, and works towards fostering the local pharmaceutical industry in Saudi Arabia.
