BAHRAIN INSTITUTE OF BANKING AND FINANCE: BIBF LSE student scores the highest mark worldwide in Business & Management

Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) and Chairman of Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), H.E Mr. Rasheed AlMaraj presented the “Top Achiever Award” for Fatema Masood Albastaki, for achieving the highest mark in Business and Management in a Global Context exam paper of all candidates worldwide in September 2018.

The BIBF provides the London School of Economics (LSE) programme in Bahrain as a Teaching Centre for the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management degree in collaboration with the University of London.

Previous graduates of this global programme have gone on to hold senior positions in both public and private sectors and have gained admission to some of the world’s leading graduate schools, including University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and LSE itself.

The University of London is one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in the world and LSE, one of its constituent colleges, has a global reputation for excellence in the fields of economics, management, finance and the social sciences. A degree from the University of London is a mark of excellence, respected by employers and universities worldwide. This reputation is based on the outstanding teaching and research of its 18 world-class colleges and 10 specialist institutes.

This remarkable achievement was highly contributed by the rigorous methodology adopted by the highly qualified and experienced BIBF faculty members, providing students with all the support and guidance they need to achieve maximum success.

On this occasion, the BIBF Director, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hameed Al Shaikh, praised the outstanding achievement of the students, stressing the BIBF’s keenness to provide the students with the best education opportunities in collaboration with the leading international specialised institutions. He also mentioned that the BIBF has distinguished elite of specialists in its faculty members, which represent a great support to achieve the quality standards in the programmess provided, while meeting the achievement of scientific knowledge required for students according to the latest developments and specialized skills required in the labor market.

Dr. Al Shaikh concluded, “I am confident that our future graduates of the programme will go on to make a significant mark and will contribute positively to the economic life of Bahrain and beyond.”

On her part, the BIBF Acting Head of Academic Centre, Amal Al Awadhi said, “We are proud of Fatema who has made a remarkable and unprecedented achievement on a global scale. This reflects the commitment of our highly qualified team and our training methodology that creates a strong support system for our learners to succeed.”

The BIBF launched the London School of Economics Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management degree in 2014, in collaboration with the University of London International programmes.
